i actually have this as my playstation wallpaper lol,
but god damn i haven't seen ur art in so long an its still beautiful. ug sad thing is am such a fanboy i can actually complain about juiles redesign an how her eyes alone are not only 'creeply stereotyped' but how given the artstyle anyway it STILL fucks up the uniqueness of her features. an make it sound legitimate...i may be an omniverse supporter but damnit derrik an CN T_T

looking at certain screenshots actually makes my point too. thats the weird part T_T
it sucks cause julies redesign is not only stereotyped. but given derricks artstyle, her look is STILL fucked up since her eyes are just blank like everyone else. its a nitpick yea, but then you look at designs for her on here or tumbler an they look waaaaaay better then her 'canon' appearance.
i may be an omniverse supporter, but even I hated what the show did to her character :/

I think pulling off the pupil-less look depends on how good the artist is at demonstrating emotions. For example, the Naruto artist, Masashi Kishimoto, draws most of his characters that aren't the main characters without pupils. Such as

, etc. But the difference is the man's incredible talent at showing emotions. Every crinkle beside the eyes when they widen out of shock, the contortions of lines around the mouth and between the eyebrows when crying. Ridiculous amount of talent. And it pretty much throws the problem with lack of pupils out the window. But with issues in stylization done poorly and we get stuff like this.

i wanna make a johnny test joke lol but thatd be to easy id rather watch omniverse that. atleast omniverse can get my brain flowing with either fanboy rage and or idea for fan fiction (i could write a good season 5 finale lol) johnny test just...it just makes you ask, why, like not even the average sayy 'why does alien x's chin look so stupid why, just EXISTING makes you ask, .
